You have learned a bit everywhere, a bit of everything. Nobody has ever told you clearly whether you are A2 or B1, or what you are missing to move up.
Your TCF or TEF is already booked, or it will be soon. You do not have time for a general programme spread over several months.

French courses by level
From A1 to B2, in 20-hour blocks. You buy a block, you finish it, then you decide. No commitment to a full level.

Each level is made up of four 20-hour blocks. You never have to buy everything: one block at a time, and you see where you stand at the end of each one.

The placement test
Free, online and written. It is marked by a teacher, not by a machine, and you receive your result in writing along with the recommended block.
You choose your block
Twenty hours, about four hours a week, at times agreed with your teacher. Payment is made in two instalments.
The sessions
Always one-on-one, at times agreed with your teacher. Between sessions, your video library lets you review what you covered and practise on your own.
The end-of-block test
Marked by the teacher at the end of each of the four blocks. If you do not pass, you choose: redo the block, or take revision hours and sit the test again.

No group classes, anywhere. The pace, the examples and the corrections are yours.

What people ask before booking.
Do I have to buy a whole level?
No, and this is in fact how we recommend proceeding: one 20-hour block at a time. You have no commitment to the four blocks of a level, nor to the rest of the path.
How long does a block last?
Twenty hours, at about four hours a week, which comes to roughly five weeks. The pace is set with your teacher according to your availability.
Does the price change with the level?
No. A 20-hour block costs $500, whether you are in A1.1 or B2.4, that is $25 an hour. Without a block, the hourly rate is $30. TCF and TEF preparation is a separate offer, at $300 for 10 hours or $600 for 20 hours.
Are there group classes?
None at all. All French training is one-on-one, one teacher per learner. This is true for individuals and for companies alike.
Can I review my lessons afterwards?
Yes. Your video library gives you access to the material you covered, so you can review it and practise between sessions, as often as you like. That is where many learners make the difference from one block to the next.
What happens if I do not pass the end-of-block test?
You choose between two options: redo the block, or take revision hours and then sit the test again. Either way, the teacher tells you precisely what needs consolidating.
Do you administer the TCF or the TEF?
No. We prepare you for these exams, but we do not administer them and we do not offer mock exams. Registration is done with an accredited centre.
Is a started block refundable?
No. If you are hesitant about committing to twenty hours, start by the hour at $30 and switch to a block once you are sure. The full terms are in our terms of service.
