How far ahead should we start?
The earlier the better, but even three or four weeks can win marks on method. If the timeline is genuinely too short to close the gap, we will tell you straight rather than sell you hours.
How many hours should we plan for?
It depends on the gap to close. The free assessment session exists precisely to give you an honest estimate before you pay anything.
Do you administer the exam?
Never. We prepare students for it, but we do not administer it and we issue no official results. The exam takes place at the school or the designated centre.
Do you use past exam papers?
The tutor works with timed exercises, marked the way a marker would. The goal is that the time pressure and the format are not a discovery on the day.
What if my child is too stressed?
That is often what costs the most marks. Working on method and rehearsing under exam conditions reduces anxiety a great deal, because the student knows what to expect.
Is it more expensive than regular tutoring?
No. It is the same $40 an hour, with no surcharge because the deadline is close.
