What people ask before starting.
Who delivers the sessions?
Chartered professional accountants. That is the whole point of this service: someone who has sat the Common Final Examination does not mark a case the way a generalist tutor does.
Is it only for the CFE?
No. The support covers the bachelor of business administration, the graduate diploma, the CPA Professional Education Program and the CFE. You can start well before the final examination.
When are the exams held?
There are two sessions a year, in May and September. We recommend starting several months ahead, because case-writing method is not built in three weeks.
Is it the same rate as school tutoring?
No, it is a separate service, aimed at accountants and business students, not at pupils from primary school to CEGEP. The rate is $100 an hour, or $950 for a 10-hour block.
Are the sessions held in groups?
Never. Everything is one-on-one, which lets us work on your cases and your blind spots rather than a syllabus common to everyone.
Do you offer mock exams?
We work through cases and mark them with you, but we administer no official examination and we issue no recognised results.
What are your pass rates?
To be confirmed We publish no pass rate until we can back it with a verifiable method and sample. We would rather state nothing than a figure we cannot defend.
Can I start a few weeks before the exam?
It is possible, but it is not what we recommend. Case-writing method is built over several months. A few weeks out, we mainly work on time management and prioritising the issues.
