Sixteen blocks separate a true beginner from the advanced level. You never buy more than one block: you finish it, you sit the test, and you decide what comes next.

What people ask about the path.
Which block will I start with?
The placement test decides that, not your instinct. It is free, written, marked by a teacher, and the result is given to you in writing along with the recommended block. Many people start further along than they thought.
Do I have to do all sixteen blocks?
No, and almost nobody does. Most learners aim for a specific level, often B1 for an economic immigration application, and stop there. You buy block by block.
How long does it take to go from A1 to B2?
Sixteen 20-hour blocks, that is 320 hours. At four hours a week, that comes to roughly 80 weeks. This is an order of magnitude, not a promise: progress depends on your work between sessions and on your first language.
Does the price rise with the level?
No. A 20-hour block costs $500 in A1.1 just as in B2.4, that is $25 an hour. Without a block, the hourly rate is $30.
What if I do not pass the end-of-block test?
You choose between redoing the block or taking revision hours and sitting the test again. Either way, the teacher tells you precisely what needs consolidating.
Does this path prepare me for the TCF or the TEF?
It takes you to the level, but it does not work on exam method. If you have an exam date, TCF and TEF preparation is a separate offer, covering the four papers and time management.
Are the lessons held in person?
No. All French training is delivered online, anywhere in Quebec, and always one-on-one. We offer no in-person French training at all.
Is a started block refundable?
No. If you are hesitant about committing to twenty hours, start by the hour at $30 and move to a block once you are sure.
