From what age do you accept students?
From Grade 1. Below that, a child usually gains more from play and shared reading than from structured tutoring.
Is an hour too long for an eight-year-old?
The tutor adapts the pace and splits the session in two with a break. In practice an hour passes well when the child is busy.
Should I stay during the session?
No, and it is often better not to. Children work better when they are not managing a parent watching. You get the report afterwards.
Do you prepare for the ministry exams?
Yes, the Grade 4 and Grade 6 ones. They are prepared for in spring, not the week before.
Does online work for a child?
From Grade 3 or 4, yes, with an adult settling the child in at the start. Younger than that, in-home usually gives better results.
